FCU Programming and Creative Challenge Highlights Interdisciplinary Innovation and AI-Powered Creativity

The 2025–26 Programming and Creative Challenge, organized by the Information Technology Learning Center of Feng Chia University’s iSchool, was held on May 30. Students from 12 departments—including Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical and Computer-Aided Engineering, Statistics, Chinese Literature, Chemical Engineering, Cooperative Economics and Social Entrepreneurship, and Communications Engineering—formed interdisciplinary teams to participate. An award ceremony was held on June 12, with FCU President and iSchool Dean Wei Wang presenting awards to the winners.

Why Do Microwave Ovens Need to Rotate? Chinese Language Center Launches First “Light Knowledge, Little Diamond” Video Storytelling Competition

The Chinese Language Center of Feng Chia University, in collaboration with the Taipei Feng Chia University Alumni Cultural Foundation and co-organized by the Library, hosted the First “Light Knowledge, Little Diamond” AI-Assisted Popular Knowledge Video Storytelling Competition. An award ceremony and exhibition of winning works were held at the Library on June 25. Guests included Yao-Jen Hsiao, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences; Shu-Yuan Chou, Chairperson of the Taipei Feng Chia University Alumni Cultural Foundation; alumni Yu-Hsien Lu and Chun-Tang Chou, who joined to celebrate students’ interdisciplinary achievements combining AI tools, language skills, and professional knowledge.

FCU Department of Economics Hosts Fourth International Symposium on Sustainable Economy and Green Finance

Organized by the Department of Economics at Feng Chia University (FCU), the 2026 Feng Chia Conference: The Fourth Symposium on Sustainable Economy and Green Finance Cooperation was held on June 25–26. Scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Taiwan gathered at FCU to discuss key issues related to sustainable economies, green finance, international trade, industrial policy, environmental policy, and Asian economic development.

“Passing the Flame”: FCU Student Organization Inauguration and Leadership Handover Ceremony Marks a New Chapter of Student Leadership

Feng Chia University held its Academic Year 2025–26 Student Organization Inauguration and Leadership Handover Ceremony, themed“Passing the Flame,” on June 14. The event opened with faculty advisors and student committee leaders making creative entrances alongside the organizations they mentor. Vice President Kuo-Hao Tang encouraged all student leaders to embrace the ceremony’s theme, emphasizing that leadership transitions represent not only the transfer of responsibility, but also the passing on of experience, values, and passion. He expressed confidence that incoming leaders would build upon the achievements of their predecessors, continue to innovate, and guide their organizations toward new milestones while keeping the spirit of student organizations alive across generations.

FCU Martial Arts Clubs Shine at National University Games with One Gold, One Silver, and Two Bronze Medals

Representatives from Feng Chia University’s Karate Club, Taekwondo Club, and Jiao-Long Judo Club competed at the 2026 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games, demonstrating the results of their rigorous training against top student-athletes from universities across Taiwan. Collectively, FCU athletes earned one gold medal, one silver medal, two bronze medals, and several top-eight finishes.

FCU Wins Four 2025 Taiwan Sustainable University Awards for Campus Excellence.

The results of the 2025 Taiwan Sustainable University Awards have been announced, and Feng Chia University once again stood out with its outstanding sustainable governance capabilities. In addition to receiving the “Taiwan Sustainable Model University Award,” Feng Chia also won the “Environmental Management Leadership Award,” the “Workplace Well-being Leadership Award,” and the “Sustainability Report Award—Silver Award,” making it one of the universities with the most awards in Taiwan. These achievements demonstrate Feng Chia’s leading results in the three major aspects of Environment (E), Society (S), and Governance (G).
